This is the first year, as a result of their continuing negligence of the Franchise mode, where I will not be buying a new setup of Madden. Totally agree. I would not have bought Madden 20 except my buddy bought it if it went on sale and we play with with franchise mode collectively. I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for my joy of kicking his ass. Will not be receiving Madden 21 though.

Could you elaborate on the franchise style corrosion? Because I don't enjoy playing online, I haven't purchased since 2013 and thought about purchasing but am concerned about Franchise style. It bland and stripped down. There's no feeing of circumstance from the mode and it just feels like a mundane gameplay loop of resetting, doing a draft, and playing with the season. There so there is no sense of league progression, and stats kept. Player cards do not even show you exactly what group the player played for from year to year for God's sake. I had to subscribe to this site called daddyleagues so that I could catalog my stats and league history to give any form of context of my own league to myself.

On top of all that the transaction logic of other teams is divided as is the AI's draft logic and the way free service works. It pretty much forces you to play as a trainer just so you can experience those dumb player scenarios ( for instance a star player will complain when he feels like he isn't getting the ball enough) that pop up from time to time but those are completely irrelevant.
