So now that Runescape is comparatively dead, what do you believe Jagex might have done to increase the longevity of Runescape? I can not really think of such a popular game go south as bad as it has, at least in my standpoint. With my personal bias I'd have to say that the motion from simplistic abilities to more complicated and difficult to pick up tasks was a fairly bad decision. Dungeoneering (when I played with ) never felt like a concrete art that could be applied outside the region. Summoning at least could be used most areas.
I feel like Runescape definitely could be going strong
Their focus on images and tiny updates was disappointing to me as well, one of Runescape's attractions were the quests and I feel like they missed out on some great opportunities. (Elf city??) I actually believe their quest system is among the very best out of the MMOs that I've played, and I really don't find a lot being published as of late. Perhaps I am just bitter, but that I believe as though Runescape definitely could be going strong if they'd gone in another way.
