As a big NBA fan I like that they put Kobe in for the covers, though I am conflicted on using him for this year's legend variant. Clearly Kobe is Kobe, he's been the legend edition cover athlete earlier, but now that he has passed away I do not know if I enjoy them using his likeness to sell the $100 expensive special edition. Also, I truly hope there is attribute parity between current gen and next gen versions. Afaik the version is your gen, and I am not planning to receive a PS5 for a while yet.

Individuals really upset that the LEGEND is on the legend edition. Individuals who purchase the variant do so because they can afford it and enjoy the bonuses. Otherwise they'll settle with version. I doubt somebody is gonna break their bank just to receive a cover picture if it is Kobe. Kobe was obviously expected and only fitting. Covers are magnificent. Keep in mind NBA 2K is published by precisely the same company that's going to re-release GTA V to get a third time.

Does anybody else feel like them just putting Kobe on the $99 version is sort of using kobe's passing to increase gain? I really don't know sort of rubbing me the wrong way. Yeah but why just put kobe on this one? They know folks want kobe stuff right now. "how do we get more people to purchase the legend version this year rather than whilst price? Oh I know, let us put a current player with average marketability on the pay but release the one for $99 with kobe". The past couple of years there has always been a legend edition with a legend about the cover and the normal edition with a present day NBA player, why should they change that now?

And who on earth spends 30 to 40 bucks more simply due to a cover, I really don't see how that could impact anybody's decision to either buy the base game or the legend variant (and if you really would love to get this pay, simply print it out yourself or go to the local printing store ). Imagine the outrage they would have had to deal with when Kobe was not about the legend edition cover. 2K gamers DEMANDED that this should occur. I see no wrong together putting him about the legend edition, that is precisely what people wanted.
